Helping Believers Live Healthier and Godlier Lifestyles

The program, Eating Healthy and Exercising = A Healthy Lifestyle, is a project underwritten and supported by a grant from the Healthcare Foundation of Wilson. The project will provide classes for children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with obesity. Classes will start in September and will be scheduled throughout 2016 – 2017. The classes will focus on living healthy, assessing your weight, eating healthy foods, planning meals, reading food labels, cutting calories, food demonstrations, eating schedules, physical fitness, and losing weight.
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a body measurement where one’s weight and height is taken and calculated to determine the BMI. Each participant will have his or her BMI determined at the first class. Each participant will track his or her BMI in order to focus on weight loss success.
The program is free of charge.
Classes are offered for children (ages 6-12), adolescents (ages 13-17), young adults (ages 18-26), adults (ages 27-64), and senior adults (ages 65 and up).
